Since I’ve been so passionate about healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle in general, making my own juice recipes, granola, or hair and body oil, I don’t know why it never occurred to me to try a juice detox. But here I am, on the first out of three days of only eating (I don’t know if that’s the right term) juices. The diet that I’m following is made by Jason Vale (aka the Juice Master), whose books and apps really make you think twice before ordering that Crispy Chicken that I am now so craving for (bad, Ligia, bad!).
So, here we go: 3 days of drinking 4 different juices each day. Today I had the Detox Special for breakfast and lunch. Not very different from my regular juice, just feels more consistent because of the avocado. Tastes good and keeps me full for a few hours. As long as don’t go anywhere close to Burger King these day, I’ll be fine.
I put the recipe below and I’ll do more post on the others, when I get there 🙂 Detox Special
1/4 yellow bell pepper
1/4 beet root
1 thick slice of lemon
1 thick slice of cucumber
1/4 celery blade
1 thick slice of broccoli stem
All juiced out and then mixed in the blender with a medium sized ripe avocado.
