Have you seen the movie A Most Violent Year from 2014? It takes place in New York in 1981, and it’s a must see! I decided to watch it again after visiting Won Hundred’s showroom during Copenhagen Fashion Week. Their new Fall/Winter 2016 Collection is inspired from it and it really takes you back in time!
Won Hundred is one of my favourite brands in Copenhagen: I like the simplicity of their pieces, their perfect fitted jeans and the masculine inspired coats and shirts. When I saw their event on the FW schedule, I knew I had to take a peak at their new collection. So, together with Lucie, we went there without any previous booking, hoping to be able to get in. We met Teuta at the entrance and after checking the blog out, she decided to show us around. YAY!
There was such a nice, welcoming atmosphere – beautiful clothes, great music, models presenting the pieces, coffee and brunch, as well as the designers that were behind the new concept. We enjoyed a tour, checked out the clothes, chose favourites and photographed everything, of course. It was such a great break between shows and the Won Hundred team really knows how to welcome their guests!
But enough blabbering! Let me tell you about the new collection: it doesn’t follow any trends, the masculine cuts are abundant and it’s inspired from the late 70s. It’s like taken from 1981, it has that rebellious feeling and it’s obvious that new concept is created for strong, independent individuals who can carry the invisible weight of the pieces, the strong colours and prints. There’ s no need for any extra accessories to complete the looks, the outfits are just so simple but at the same time powerful. I’ve already made a wish-list and the black 1981 jeans jacket is my favourite!
Thank you, Teuta for having us and congrats to the entire team for this amazing new collection! Please check out the Won Hundred webpage if you want to see some more designs.
Enjoy these photos and have a great Monday!
